Dillard Mill

May 28, 2025 - Over Memorial weekend, I visited Dillard Mill in Davisville, Missouri. Completed in 1908, the mill is one of the state’s best-preserved gristmills and contains machinery that is still intact and working. The grounds of the historic site are impeccable and a nice stroll along Huzzah Creek leads to the mill sitting above its waterfall.  I love the Mill’s dark red exterior sitting upon the jagged rocks below. A site well worth visiting with a structure that blends beautifully into the landscape.  Building stories one frame at a time!
